Is the Extra Cost Worth It?

The most noticeable upgrade I experienced wasn’t the audio—it was the new customizable magnetic front covers.

For creators who appear on camera, matching the microphone to different outfits or branding can be a nice quality-of-life improvement.

However, if you’re buying purely for better sound quality, I’d focus on choosing the right bundle first before spending an additional ₱1,700 on the optional Multi-Color Magnetic Front Cover.

DJI Mic Mini 2: The Biggest Change Isn’t the Audio

When most people hear about a new wireless microphone, they immediately expect better sound quality.

That’s exactly what I expected before visiting DJI MOA.

But after spending some time with the DJI Mic Mini 2, I walked away thinking about something completely different.

The biggest change isn’t the audio.

It’s the design.

DJI introduced interchangeable magnetic front covers that allow users to customize the look of the transmitter with different colors.

At first glance, it sounds like a minor feature.

But seeing it in person completely changed my perspective.

No.

Honestly, I expected to spend most of my time listening for audio improvements.

Instead, the first thing that caught my attention was the new customization system.

DJI is usually known for performance-focused upgrades.

This time, they also focused on personality.

The interchangeable magnetic covers instantly make the microphone feel less like a piece of equipment and more like an accessory that creators can personalize.

I can already imagine creators matching the microphone with:
